Jack J. Pelton

Jack J. Pelton serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cessna Aircraft Company. A native of California, Mr. Pelton has spent more than three decades in the aviation industry. He joined Cessna in November 2000 as Senior Vice President of Product Engineering and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in December 2003, adding the title of Chairman in 2005. Mr. Pelton was bestowed one of the industry’s top accolades in 2008 – the Aviation Week Laurel for Business and General Aviation. Also in 2008, Mr. Pelton earned the Freedom of Flight award, the Experimental Aircraft Association’s highest honor. Mr. Pelton is a member of the board and past chairman of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), where he continues to serve as chairman of the Flight Operations Policy committee, and he serves on the Associate Member Advisory Board of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). He also serves on the boards of directors of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the Corporate Angel Network. Mr. Pelton is Citation-rated with an instrument, commercial and multi-engine license.
