JET CARD: FAQ
What is the pricing structure for the Jet Card?
With a minimum purchase of $100,000, your rates will be locked in for one full year. Our price is all-inclusive, with no international fees, no handling fees and no repositioning fees. You may add to your initial deposit maintaining the contract year’s rates, and any unused funds on your account are fully refundable after the first contract year.
What types of aircraft are available for use with the Jet Card?
The Jet Card allows you the flexibility of choosing from our fleet of Cessna Citations. Available aircraft for Jet Card customers are the six-passenger CJ3, the nine-passenger XLS and the nine-passenger Sovereign. On occasion, the seven-passenger Bravo may be used to back up our CJ3 fleet.
What is the major difference between this new Jet Card and the Jet Card you were previously selling?
The previous Fleet Jet Card was priced the same for every customer no matter if they flew on Peak days or non-Peak days, with guaranteed access to our entire fleet. With the new Jet Card product, customers have two (2) options: purchase a Jet Card in a single aircraft with rates for our 355 non-Peak days a substantial savings vs. the competition, and have the ability to request upgrades, if available, or purchase a Jet Card with guaranteed access to our fleet and pay rates just 10% more than our Single Aircraft option non-Peak rates. Both options also have access to Peak day flying on the 10 designated Peak days (which have been reduced from 15).
How does your new Jet Card differ from the competition’s jet cards?
Most of our competitors do not offer price discounts for non-Peak travel. Customers who fly on non-Peak days pay the same amount as customers who fly on Peak days. Our new Jet Card significantly lowers non-Peak day hourly rates and increases flexibility with the single aircraft and fleet options.
Can I make a purchase greater than $100,000?
The minimum deposit required is $100,000 but if you wish to make a purchase above that, you may. You may also add to your initial deposit at the contract year’s rates, at any time.
What is included in the price of the Jet Card?
Our Jet Card prices are all-inclusive, with no international fees, no handling fees and no repositioning fees. Hourly rates include fuel at $3.50/gallon with monthly adjustments made for changes in actual fuel costs that are above or below $3.50.
Which card should I purchase if I need to fly Peak days?
Purchasing our Jet Card with either the Single Aircraft or Fleet option guarantees you access to flying 365 days a year. Both options offer significantly lower hourly rates 355 days out of the year for flying non-Peak days. You will still have the ability to fly on our 10 Peak days, but because the demand for flights is so high on those days, you will pay a higher hourly rate for flying on Peak days.
Is the Jet Card refundable?
Any unused funds on your Jet Card account are fully refundable after the first contract year. Refunds are available prior to the end of your contract for a transaction fee of 10% of the remaining balance. You may also choose to roll over any unused funds into a new Jet Card account, once your existing contract expires.
If I purchase a Jet Card with the Single Aircraft option, will I have access to your other aircraft?
If you purchase a Jet Card with the Single Aircraft option you are guaranteed that aircraft at a minimum. If you request a different aircraft, we will do all possible to secure that aircraft type for you but we will not be able to guarantee it. Therefore, access to these other aircraft types will be on an as available basis. That said, you can guarantee access to our entire fleet by purchasing our Jet Card with the Fleet option, with non-Peak hourly rates that are just 10% more than our Single Aircraft option for all flights.
What made CitationAir ‘reinvent’ the Jet Card now?
We are continually looking to innovate and drive overall value to our customers. We listened to our customers and researched our cost drivers, and came to the conclusion that pricing all 365 days of the year the same was supporting Peak travel costs at the expense of non-Peak travelers.
We overcame this obstacle by pricing the 355 non-Peak days at rates significantly lower than the competition, while charging market rates for the 10 Peak days. The philosophy is simple: you pay for what you fly. With this product, customers pay less on 97.3% of the days of the year, and CitationAir is better able to manage Peak day travel, thereby reducing the need for charter as well as operational costs associated with charter. Ultimately, these efficiencies provide more value and consistent service to the customer.
