GREENWICH, CT., July 30, 2010 – CitationAirTM by Cessna (http://www.citationair.com), a leader in private air transportation, will be providing jet transportation for classical pianist Emanuel Ax as part of the company’s sponsorship of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony’s 2010 Orchestra Festival taking place August 2-17 in Sun Valley, Idaho.
This year’s Orchestra Festival will also feature performances by world renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, pianist Emanuel Ax, baritone Nathan Gunn and orchestra soloists Juliana Athayde, Robert Atherholt and Andrew McCandless. Alasdair Neale is the Music Director of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony.

Founded in 1985 as the Elkhorn Music Festival by Dr. Carl Eberl, professor emeritus at the College of the City University of New York, and his wife Julianne, the orchestra grew from 22 musicians to 55 at the time of his retirement. Under the leadership of Maestro Alasdair Neale since 1995, the orchestra has grown to more than 100 players and presents free concerts to over 50,000 people annually.
